When we did our first cruise holiday, we did. We weren’t even sure if we would enjoy it, being on the ship the whole time. But we did. Looks like, that was one of the best holidays ever! So we thought we will share some of the advantages and the reasons why cruise holiday is the right choice for you.
10 reasons to go on a cruise holiday
No need to plan
Holidays are meant to be all about relaxing, but that can often be hard if you are in charge of planning, especially if you want to visit multiple locations. Luckily, going on a cruise removes all the stress of route planning as it is already done for you.
No airports
There is also no need to find yourself dashing through an airport. For people living in UK, you have the convenience of being able to cruise from Southampton.
Managing your luggage is easy
Not only do you not have to deal with the stress of being in an airport, but you also don’t need to worry about packing and managing your luggage as you will have it with you from the start of your trip. And there’s no need to move your luggage anywhere since you will be staying your entire holiday in the ship.
Several destinations in one trip
With so many places to explore, picking where to go on holiday can be very difficult. One of the main benefits of going on a cruise is that you get to go to several different destinations all in the space of one trip. You can choose a cruise that explores one country, or multiple.
Experience a range of culture and landscapes
Doing this means you get to experience a range of different cultures, and landscapes, without any of the hassle of arranging travel to them yourself. A cruise may then inspire future holidays if you discover somewhere new that you’d like to return to.
Amazing dining experience
When you book your cruise holiday, you pay for your food too. Usually full board – which means, you can enjoy multi continental cuisine for your breakfast, lunch, dinner. There is absolutely no restrictions on how much you eat and when you eat. I remember craving for some cakes and pastries at midnight, and we had absolutely no problem getting them 🙂
If you enjoy meeting and socialising with others on holiday, a cruise is a great choice for you. Being on board with others, you’re bound to meet and bond with like-minded people. Many people make friends for life on cruises and go on to book further cruises or other holidays with them again in the future.
Once you have met people on board, there is also the opportunity to spend time with them during your days exploring off the boat, as well as taking part in activities onboard.
Cruises are romantic
With so much to see and do together, cruise holiday is perfect for couples and are downright romantic, because you have absolutely no responsibilities whatsoever. No planning, or preparing and no reservations.
Everyday you wake up with in a new place, looking at beautiful views, tasting delicious food without having to make any reservations, spa, dance nights, pool, dress up and what not? There’s nothing unromantic about a cruise holiday.
Watch sunrise & sunsets everyday
You are sailing everyday during your cruise holiday and it’s a no brainer that you get to see the best sunrise and sunsets from the sea. You can watch them from your cabin (depending on which direction it is), or go up the deck and watch it. There’s nothing as romantic as watching the sunrise and sunset with your partner. The dusk and dawn moments are pretty photogenic as well.
Great value for money
Holidays can sometimes be difficult to budget for, but with a cruise holiday, the price of the booking will typically include all your food, stay and activities on board.
This is perfect if you have a specific amount you want to spend, or if you are looking to book something relatively far in advance.
As well as being good value for money, it also means you just have less to think about. This is ideal for helping you to switch off and really embrace your holiday
Cruise holidays are ideal for couples, families and anyone who wants to indulge in a luxury travel. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind that everyone should experience. If you book cruise holidays in advance, you will be able to get the right cabins for the good price. To conclude, cruises make fantastic holidays and are well worth considering in the lead up to summer.
