Tullylagan Country House Hotel, Northern Ireland

Spread over 30 acres of green landscape, Tullylagan Country House Hotel is a family run 19th century estate located 10 minutes from Cookstown, nestled at the foot of Sperrins Mountains, in Northern Ireland.  More so often, this is considered as a best kept secret of the Northern Ireland.

As we reached the hotel in the crispy winter afternoon, we were firstly impressed with the Georgian type building.  As we neared the reception, it was hard not to notice the beautiful carpets, lighting, decorated ceilings that richly decorated the reception.

There are about 15 luxurious bedrooms decorated in a traditional charm with comfortable soft linens. We were directed to our room shortly after the formalities, and we entered into a spacious double bed room. All the rooms are equipped with luxurious toiletries, trouser press, ironing facilities, hair dryer, flat screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities.

One can choose to relax at their lobby bar, and dine at their triple award winning Kitchen Restaurant or simply walk across the building to dine at Harry’s Bar & Bistro.

Tullylagan Country House Hotel is also a popular and most sought wedding venue in Northern Ireland.  Another plus for this hotel is that it’s ideally located right in the middle of Northern Ireland making it a perfect choice to explore any part of the counties.   The hotel is about 45 minutes drive from Belfast.

There’s loads of open space around this hotel, and makes a great place to walk. The garden area has beautiful statues and picnic tables around. We enjoyed our stay here, and had good night’s sleep.
