It’s hard to imagine world’s largest flower garden to be sitting amidst parched desert. But truth be told, Dubai is home to this largest flower garden – Dubai Miracle Gardens – spread across 72000 sq meters in the middle of arid landscape.  The garden has as many as 45 million pretty array of colorful flowers in full bloom that are arranged in a eye catchy designs transforming the desert land into a colorful oasis.

The garden has already bagged Guinness world record for being the longest vertical garden in the world.  For all we could say, the garden is a feast to your eyes and a great photo op. We spent about 2 hours navigating the extravagant floral displays. The garden is equipped with restaurants, shops, toilets, prayer halls, seating area and ample car parking spaces.

We saw flower decked houses, toppled car zone that were covered with flowers, upside down house, flower castles and houses, heart shaped arches, umbrella pavements, floral peacocks and many more.

Location

The garden is located in Dubailand in the North West Quadrant of Arabian Ranches and they are not easily accessible by public transport.  The garden is open during October to April open between 9am to 9pm. Adult entrance fee is 30AED and children below 3 years go free.

Practical Information

-> Although the garden has access to restaurants and eat outs, we felt everything to be pricey. For instance a small water bottle was charged 5AED.
TIP: Pack sandwiches / snacks + water bottle.

-> Unless you have a car, it might be difficult to commute to Miracle gardens. Best bet would be to reach Mall of Emirates (MoE) via metro or bus and take a taxi. The garden is still 6-7 kms away from the MoE. Bus number F30 also reaches Arabian Ranches, and the garden is a quick 10-15 minute walk from there.
TIP: There are private mini van (shared basis) that run services between the miracle garden and Mall of Emirates and they charge 5AED pp.

-> If you plan to take a taxi from Miracle gardens, plan and book the taxi 30 minutes before you come out. Either taxis are in high demand, or it takes ages to cruise through the city traffic.
