Colorful Coastal Houses in Ireland

Colorful houses everywhere in Ireland

This is probably going to be the last post on Ireland series. In my previous posts, I talked about the castles, gaols, brewery, coastal drives. It will be unfair if I leave out about the colorful houses that are part of the Irish coast. Throughout my journey in Ireland, I kept seeing colorful houses and kept clicking all of them.   Not just the houses, even the shops, Fish & Chips and Restaurant Bars had been tastefully decorated.  I don’t want to flaunt away all the 100+ such pictures.  So, here’s just the best of them for you to see and enjoy.

Most of these colorful candy houses were clicked in a fishing village called Kinsale
The Stripes on the walls with bright colors.  Isn’t that idea very novel?
Yet another colorful corner in Kinsale.  Look at the color contrasts they worked out for doors and windows against the wall.
This was taken in the city of Waterford where we spent sometime before entering Cork city.

Kinsale Again…

Aren’t they beautiful?

Ireland is a beautiful country, and can undoubtedly go into your bucket list.  It’s a tourist friendly nation, and there’s abundant of things to see – both natural and man made.

The pink shutter, door and name board just stands out from the rest 😀 I find these houses and shops to be too colorful. Ramarajan colors 😛 If I ever build a house, I will paint it in dull beige!! 🙂

DI – They are indeed pukka Ramarajan aka Govinda colors -with that stark Yellow, orange combinations. But I kinda liked it against the sober white colored buildings. walking along those colorful houses I felt like, how life will be if I get up everyday in the morning in such a neighbourhood. How colorful life itself will be!

I think it is the gloomy weather, that makes people want to paint bright colors to their houses and shops. am I right Anu?
In a country like India where we have abundant sunlight all the time, it would be a little jarring for some people, however, I like colors wherever it is. And all the picture are very pretty. I enjoyed your Ireland series.

That could be true Rama, but I am not sure. I've also seen bright colored houses in Venice (Burano Islands)and in Malta.

This is truly fascinating! I haven’t seen so colorful buildings adoring a lane. The trend of painting bright colors had also caught with Indians more these days.

Yes it is Jeevan. I've seen a lot of people in India having bright colors adore their walls – majorly interiors!
