A New Beginning

This New Year is so special to me. After many years of personal blogging, I have finally decided to start this new blog exclusively to write about our travel experience as a couple – So welcome to this space!

We all love to travel, see new places, meet people and understand their culture and traditions – So are we, but just with a little difference.  We both have this urge to travel every now and then and a thirst to see and experience new places. So, we travel over most of the weekends in search of offbeat destinations, unique things to do, or anything to satiate our adventure heart.

We travel frequently to popular, unpopular and unexplored places.  We both enjoy places with abundant natural beauty – like mountains, lakes, sea, meadows. We also like seeing places with ancient history, myths, cultural and religious beliefs where we can interact with people; We appreciate man made wonders and amazing architectures that were built over centuries.

We have seen pretty amazing places, crossed off great experiences from our bucket list, visited many UNESCO Heritage Sites, seen ice caves, got sunburnt in famous beaches, admired some of the world wonders. But somehow down the line, we failed to record our experiences.  Although I write some of them on my travel journal or notes, we felt there is a scope for online journal. And hence this blog.

In this blog. we will share our travel experiences, funny and scary stories that we have encountered, talk about the cultures, culinary delights, life of local people on the other side of the world, and some of our 2 cents to save you some time. And of course, you are going to see abundance of photographs.

We really want to inspire people to travel more and travel often – doesn’t matter how far or short it is. Travel gives a fresh perspective to life, and shows how tiny we are in this massive earth. It makes us humble, and the experience we get out of travel is invaluable – something we cannot buy in any classrooms or universities. We also want to prove that it is possible to travel all while working full-time.  We hope this blog will become your go-to guide that reflects our travels, and provide as a good resource for travel planning and a great travel inspiration to you all. So, wish us loads of luck.

It's a good idea to have a niche blog focused on a particular subject. You could have also done the same thing in Life Is Beautiful, no? It already has a lot of your travel posts and from now on, you can exclusively write about travel. But maybe you want to retain it as a personal blog and write about all topics. I can understand that. All the best for this new blog.

I had the same dilemma DI…whether to continue in the same blog or to have seperate one. Eventually opted for a seperate…because personal is personal. I write junk stuff in that 🙂

This is a great step you took in the new year. You travel to less-travelled places. All the more reason to write! Good luck!

While I have enjoyed seeing the "famous monuments and top tourist attractins", I admit, I love to take the road less traveled, and explore the unexplored ones. Thanks travelrage.
